No special legal action is required to prevent love jihad
Home Minister Araga Gyanendra said that there is no need for a special task force of police to prevent love jihad.
Hindu organization leaders have requested that a special police task force be formed to prevent love jihad.
I told them that Love Jihad comes under Prohibition of Conversion Act. Our police should register cases in this regard. A case has been registered in a police station in Bangalore.
Conversion from one religion to another is allowed in the constitution. But DC should inform them one month before conversion. Converts and converts should be informed that they are going to such a religion. DC will give permission after verification. He explained that everything is there in the Conversion Act.
There is no need for a new act in our state for now. Anyone found converting should be reported. There is no need for a special task force. He said that if the situation is excessive, we will see it in that case.
